Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Ishola Adenuga Jr.will forever be remembered for his timely intervention in the telecommunications arena through Globacom’s historic introduction of Per Second Billing and subsequent crashing of SIM price thus truly liberating Nigeria’s fledgling telecommunications sector.

In addition, under his leadership Globacom has been adjudged severally as the fastest-growing telecoms operations in Africa and the third fastest in the world. He also spearheaded Glo-1 which has the potential to provide high speed internet services, faster, more reliable and cheaper telecom services.

It is the first successful submarine cable from the United Kingdom to Nigeria and the first built by an individual African company.

Indeed, when the history of telecommunications industry in Africa is written, Adenuga surely would earn a chapter as a man who disrupted an oligarchic convention for the benefit of mankind.

Dr. Mike Adenuga completed his secondary school education at Ibadan Grammar School in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, and his Higher School Certificate (HSC) at Comprehensive High School in Aiyetoro.

To help pay for his academic tuition, he worked as a cab driver. He obtained Business administration degrees from Northwestern Okkahoma State University and Pace University in New York.

Dr. Mike Adenuga’s net worth is estimated to be over $6.8 billion by Forbes. He is currently Nigeria’s second wealthiest man.
