Covenant University, a leading private institution, has been honoured with the title of Most Innovative Tertiary Institution in Nigeria at the Titans of Tech Awards 2024. The prestigious award ceremony held at the Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos recently.

This recognition underscores Covenant University’s commitment to pioneering technology education in Nigeria. The institution’s innovative approach includes a robust practical technology curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in tech and beyond.

The establishment of the Hebron Startup Labs, a dynamic technology incubation hub on campus, further exemplifies its dedication to advancing sustainable technological development.

Professor Abiodun Adebayo, Vice Chancellor, Covenant University with the prestigious “Most Innovative Tertiary Institution of the Award”

Prof. Abiodun Adebayo, Vice Chancellor, Covenant University, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are honoured to receive this recognition. Our commitment to integrating technology into our curriculum and fostering innovation through Hebron Startup Labs is driven by our vision to prepare our students for the future and contribute to Nigeria’s technological advancement. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students.”

The Titans of Tech Awards, often referred to as Nigeria’s Tech Industry Grammy, is designed to celebrate hi-tech most important movers and shakers; the pioneers, innovators and connectors. Men, women, organisation and institutions are at the forefront of pushing technology adoption and usage in Nigeria and across Africa.

Don Pedro Aganbi, Founder, TechTV Network and Convener of the Titans of Tech Awards stated, “Covenant University’s achievement is a clear reflection of its relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence in technology education. We are thrilled to honour them with this award and look forward to seeing their continued contributions to the tech sector.”

Innovation and achievement, integrity and consistency, impact, community Involvement, strategy for growth, professional accomplishment, and local content for national development represent the criteria that were used by the independent judges to arrive at the winners at Titans of Tech Awards (TOTA 2024).
