Senator Ayo Arise is a dynamic ICT expert, a respectable planner, incisive politician, philanthropist and an astute businessman.

His fascination with Information and Communications Technology propelled him invest in Computers as he enrolled at a Computer training School in the US to obtain a Professional qualification in CompTia A+, a certificate in Computer hardware Engineering. This obviously led to the Establishment of many companies one of which is known mainly as Cards Technology Limited (CTL).

Cards technology is recognized by the Central bank of Nigeria as a value added service provider to promote electronic commerce in Nigeria.

Senator Ayo Arise’s pioneering role and foresight in the incorporation of Card Technologies and the subsequent establishment of the first Third Party Processing Facility in sub-Sahara Africa for MasterCard International paved the way for the issuance of MasterCard by banks in Nigeria to their customers. This opened up the door of opportunity for Nigerians to embrace e-commerce as it is known today in Nigeria.

He is also a pioneer member of the committee on Guidelines on Electronic Commerce in Nigeria, the Imaging Association of America and many other international bodies that review the Card business throughout the globe.

As Senator, he chaired the Senate Committee on Privatization, and was member of Senate Committees on Local and Foreign Debt, Banking Insurance and Financial Institutions, Water Resources, Industries and Adhoc Committee on Transportation Sector.

Sen Ayo Arise is a committed techno administrator, a certified Hardware engineer and a certified Microsoft professional.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from A & M University, Northern Alabama, USA.

His pioneering role and contributions to the nation’s ICT space is helping to move Nigeria forward.
