TechTV Network celebrates Chief Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, OFR, as he marks 70 years of exceptional leadership, bold innovation, and unwavering service to Nigeria’s ICT revolution.

Mr. Leo-Stan Nnamdi Ekeh, OFR—
you are, without question, an enduring icon of hope.

Through your pioneering vision and relentless commitment to the promotion, development, and deployment of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Nigeria, you did more than build companies—you helped architect a digital nation.

Your record of incisive entrepreneurship and strategic foresight to computerize Nigeria reshaped the trajectory of information technology not only within our borders but across the African continent.

From trailblazing desktop publishing and computer graphics in Nigeria through Task Systems Ltd, to revolutionizing ICT product distribution across West Africa with Technology Distributions Ltd, and ultimately birthing Zinox Technologies—Nigeria’s first internationally certified computer brand—you have left an indelible imprint on Africa’s technology landscape.

You did not merely participate in the ICT revolution.
You accelerated it.
You localized it.
You institutionalized it.

And history will always remember your defining interventions at critical moments for our democracy.

Through your companies, you stepped forward when Nigeria needed technological backbone and operational excellence.

In 2006, you delivered 12,000 systems to power the national voters’ registration exercise within three weeks—an achievement that redefined indigenous capacity.

In 2011, you raised the bar even higher, providing the technological backbone for the voters’ registration process by deploying 80,000 Direct Data Capture (DDC) machines in just 35 days.

Across challenging terrain.
Across fragile infrastructure.
Across a complex federation.

These interventions were hailed globally as extraordinary accomplishments—not just for an indigenous Nigerian firm, but for any organization anywhere in the world.

They proved a powerful point:
excellence is not imported—it is built.
Capacity is not borrowed—it is developed.
And global standards are not exclusive—they are attainable.

At 70, Chief Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, OFR, your legacy is not measured in titles or transactions. It is measured in systems built, industries strengthened, confidence restored, and generations inspired.

You showed Nigeria that technology is not a luxury—it is sovereignty.
You showed Africa that indigenous brands can compete globally—and win.
You showed young entrepreneurs that vision, when matched with discipline and integrity, becomes transformation.

Today, TechTV Network does more than celebrate your birthday.
We celebrate your impact.
We celebrate your resilience.
We celebrate your nation-building spirit.

Seventy years of vision.
Seventy years of relevance.
Seventy years of results.

Happy 70th Birthday, Chief Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, OFR.

Nigeria’s ICT revolution bears your fingerprints.
Africa’s digital future carries your signature.
