Galaxy Backbone Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Simba Infrastructure Limited to expand the deployment of unified communications and call centre solutions across Nigeria.
The collaboration is expected to leverage Galaxy Backbone’s nationwide digital infrastructure alongside Simba Infrastructure’s expertise in communications technology to deliver locally hosted communication services for businesses and government institutions.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the partnership will provide Hosted Unified Communications and Hosted Call Centre Solutions aimed at improving customer and citizen engagement while strengthening operational efficiency and data security.
What the Partnership Will Deliver
The alliance combines Simba Infrastructure’s capabilities in converged communications technologies, systems integration, and enterprise engagement with Galaxy Backbone’s extensive digital infrastructure, including its data centres and fibre-optic network spanning 30 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“Together, both organisations will deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective communication solutions designed to transform how businesses and government institutions engage with customers and citizens,” the statement said.
Under the arrangement:
Simba Infrastructure will lead private-sector business development efforts, delivering customised unified communications and call centre solutions tailored to enterprise needs.
Galaxy Backbone will focus on driving adoption across government institutions by providing secure, locally hosted data centre services that support compliance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
What Stakeholders Are Saying
Director at Simba Infrastructure, Sanjay Vaswani, described the collaboration as the beginning of broader technology deployment initiatives in Nigeria.
“Simba is pleased to mark this first phase of collaboration, with a long-term vision of deploying fully localised, AI-driven technologies that enable developers to build and scale using naira-based solutions,” Vaswani said.
Profit Centre Head at Simba Infrastructure, Aminu Usman, said the partnership represents a major milestone in delivering cloud-based communication solutions to Nigerian organisations.
“By combining Galaxy Backbone’s robust infrastructure and strong public sector presence with Simba’s customer-centric approach and technological expertise, we are creating a powerful platform to drive digital transformation and business growth,” Usman stated.
Also commenting on the agreement, General Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Regional Business at Galaxy Backbone, Abdul-Malik Suleiman, noted that the initiative aligns with the organisation’s commitment to expanding secure and reliable digital services nationwide.
“Galaxy Backbone remains committed to advancing digital inclusion, secure communication, and reliable ICT services across Nigeria,” Suleiman said.

The statement added that the partnership reflects both organisations’ commitment to supporting Nigeria’s broader digital transformation agenda through:
Enhanced communication platforms
Improved collaboration tools

The initiative is also expected to help organisations improve customer experience and operational effectiveness while ensuring that critical information and data remain securely hosted within Nigeria.
