Ndukwe: The Man Who Connected Nigeria To The World Backs eWorld Forum

Former Executive Vice-Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and current Chairman of MTN Nigeria, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, has thrown his weight behind the upcoming eWorld Forum 2026, where he will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.

This year’s edition of the eWorld Forum is especially historic, as it commemorates 25 years of Nigeria’s GSM revolution—a milestone achievement that transformed Africa’s most populous nation into one of the world’s most dynamic mobile and digital payment markets.

Dr. Ndukwe, widely revered as the architect of modern telecommunications in Nigeria, spearheaded the landmark 2001 spectrum auctions that ushered in GSM technology during his tenure at the helm of the NCC between 2000 and 2010.
