Engr. Ernest Chukwuka Ndukwe OFR, professional telecommunications engineer, corporate executive and public servant with over 40 years of international experience in the telecommunications industry and in corporate executive management, is a darling of the Nigerian corporate world.

Eng. Ndukwe is recognized and credited as the force behind the tremendous growth in the nation’s telecommunications sector, with telephone lines hitting the 60million mark in under eight years up from only 500, 000 lines. Indeed, under his stellar leadership the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) gained reputation for regulatory thoroughness, transparency and forward-looking approach to technology utilization.

Also during his tenure, the NCC earned a reputation as a government agency where transparency and openness are consistently extolled as virtues. He was at the helm of affairs during Nigeria’s first Digital Mobile License Spectrum Auction, which has been adjudged internationally to be very successful, and professionally handled. This auction process as well as others that followed have boosted Nigeria’s image abroad and also generated over N120billion in revenue for the government.

On the International scene, Engr Ndukwe served as the Chairman of the Administrative Council of the African Telecommunications Union, representing Nigeria. He is also credited with the initial vision and pioneering effort that led to the creation of the West African Telecom Regulators Association (WATRA) and served as the pioneer chairman of WATRA.

Today, he is a valued expert, respected commentator and advisor, and a highly sought speaker at conferences and lecture circuit across the globe. His vast experience is an invaluable portion of Nigeria’s ICT

Engineer Ndukwe is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School, a Fellow of Nigerian Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering.
