The organisers of the Titans of Tech Awards, popularly described as Nigeria’s Tech Industry Grammy, have officially unveiled the award categories for the 2026 edition, as preparations intensify for the annual celebration of excellence across the nation’s technology ecosystem.

The Titans of Tech Awards 2026 is scheduled to hold on July 17, 2026, at the prestigious Oriental Hotel Lagos, bringing together Nigeria’s most influential technology leaders, policymakers, innovators, investors, and media executives for an evening of recognition, reflection, and inspiration.

Now in its 22nd season, the Titans of Tech Awards has established itself as Nigeria’s longest-running and most respected technology honours platform, celebrating the country’s most impactful movers and shakers in the high-tech space.

The awards recognise organisations, institutions, revolutionaries, icons, pathfinders, and pioneers who have consistently leveraged information and communications technology (ICT) to improve lives, transform industries, and accelerate national development.

New Recognition: Architects of the Digital Economy

A major highlight of the 2026 edition will be the unveiling of “Architects of the Digital Economy,” a special recognition designed to honour visionary individuals and institutions whose leadership, innovation, and long-term investments have played a defining role in shaping Nigeria’s digital economy.

Speaking on the significance of the new recognition, Don Pedro Aganbi, Convener of the Titans of Tech Awards, said:

“The Architects of the Digital Economy recognition is our way of honouring those who laid the foundation for Nigeria’s digital transformation long before it became fashionable. These are the thinkers, builders, and leaders whose foresight and courage helped shape the ecosystem we all benefit from today.”

According to Aganbi, the focus of the awards remains firmly on impact-driven innovation.

“Technology must ultimately improve lives. At Titans of Tech, we look beyond buzzwords to recognise solutions and leaders that are solving real problems, creating jobs, enabling inclusion, and building sustainable value for Nigeria and Africa.”

Each category has been structured to recognise practical innovation, market relevance, scalability, and measurable impact, with particular emphasis on solutions addressing Nigeria’s unique economic and social challenges.

Over the past 22 years, the Titans of Tech Awards has built a reputation for credibility, independence, and industry relevance, recognising excellence not only in innovation but also in leadership, impact, and long-term value creation.

“The Titans of Tech Awards is not just about celebrating technology,” Aganbi added.
“It is about recognising those who dared to lead, innovate, and build solutions that have fundamentally improved the way Nigerians live and work.”
