Ikechukwu Nnamani, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Realty Nigeria (formerly Medallion Data Centres Limited), will deliver a keynote address at the “50 Most Valuable Personalities in Nigeria’s Digital Economy” event, slated for Thursday, March 22, 2024, at the Providence Hotel in Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

At this esteemed gathering, attended by industry luminaries, thought leaders, and top executives from both public and private sectors, Nnamani will lead discussions on “Conversations: The Myths and Realities of Nigeria’s Digital Economy.” Drawing from his vast experience, the former President of the Association of Telecom Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) will dissect the crucial issues shaping Nigeria’s digital landscape. He aims to separate myths from realities and shed light on the future trajectory of Nigeria’s digital economy.

In a statement released by IT Edge News, the event organizer, it was highlighted that Nnamani will be joined by other esteemed industry figures, including Dr. Vincent Olatunji, National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC); Leo Stan Ekeh, founder of Zinox Group; Dr. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, digital systems expert and APC gubernatorial flagbearer in Plateau State, and Gbenga Adebayo, Chairman of the Association of Licensed Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ALTON).

According to Olusegun Oruame, Founder of IT Edge News, the MVPs event celebrates trailblazers, change makers, and steadfast leaders who have propelled the digital economy forward despite formidable obstacles. He emphasized that the event recognizes the challenges and progress of Nigeria’s digital economy, spotlighting individuals who have made significant contributions across various sectors, including telecoms, e-commerce, fintech, hardware and software development, tech hubs, startups, emerging technologies, and government policies.

Oruame explained that nominees for the “50 MVPs in Nigeria Digital Economy” 2024 are selected based on their innovative contributions, leadership roles, influence, impactful initiatives, and visionary insights driving Nigeria’s digital transformation. He noted that the MVPs event serves as a testament to Nigeria’s vibrant digital ecosystem and the remarkable strides made by individuals shaping its trajectory.

Nnamani, a staunch promoter of telecom infrastructure in several African countries, boasts over 50 national and international awards for his contributions to the growth of the telecoms and ICT industry. His impact extends across Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Botswana, and Angola.
