From engineering the networks that connect millions to building technology solutions that power businesses, Olawale Owoeye has spent more than two decades at the intersection of technology, enterprise and innovation.

Olawale Owoeye is a distinguished telecommunications engineer, technology entrepreneur and strategic business leader whose career spans some of the most critical layers of the telecoms ecosystem across Africa and the Middle East. A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with Second Class Upper Division honours, Owoeye went on to earn an MBA from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

His professional experience cuts across field support, transmission, core networks, project management, business analysis, strategic planning and business growth, with major global telecommunications companies including Ericsson, Huawei, MTN and Airtel.

In 2011, he co-founded Cedarview Communications Limited alongside a university classmate. Through a leadership philosophy anchored on innovation, technical excellence, proactive problem-solving and service delivery, Owoeye has helped transform Cedarview into one of Nigeria’s leading technology and telecommunications solutions providers.

But his influence extends beyond the boardroom.
Owoeye has served on the boards of consulting firms, educational institutions and technology companies, bringing a blend of engineering expertise, commercial understanding and strategic leadership to diverse organisations.

For more than six years, he has also served at the national executive level of the Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), contributing to industry conversations and initiatives focused on the growth, competitiveness and sustainability of Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.

A Leadership Milestone
In July 2026, Owoeye’s contribution to Nigeria’s technology ecosystem received further recognition when he was conferred with the Nigeria ICT Industry Leadership Award at the Titans of Tech Africa Awards.

The honour underscores a career defined not only by technical competence, but by sustained leadership, entrepreneurship and contribution to the development of Nigeria’s ICT ecosystem.
