Leading global smart life brand committed to providing affordable and good quality consumer electronic products boasting excellent user experience, itel has won the Tech Brand of the Year Award at the 2022 Titans of Tech Awards.

According to the organizers of the prestigious awards, optimising service and performance, enhancing customer service, overall quality of innovation and contribution to Tech advancement, originality and vision, market success/acceptance and contribution to end-user quality-of-experience and service delivery were key components in the criteria considered by the Tech TV intelligence unit panel that selected the award winners. The four months long period involved gathering series of detailed information on KPIs, customer satisfaction, Innovation, growth strategies and ethical practices.

At the itel was adjudged overall winner among other nominees for its relentless efforts and impact on the global tech space through the several innovative customer friendly products that it has introduced into the various markets it operates.

Receiving the Award, Oke Umurhohwo, itel Marketing Manager West Africa 1,   said that ‘It is a great honor for itel to be recognized as the Best Tech Brand of the Year pioneering affordable technology adoption on the continent. Over the years, we have grown into a well-recognized brand with a diversified portfolio of tech products. This could not have been possible without our partners and customers who have chosen to Enjoy Better Life with itel. We will continue to set the pace and follow the path.’ I dedicate this award to the entire team at itel, and our customers in Nigeria and indeed across the African continent for supporting and believing in us”. An elated Oke said.

Speaking further he noted that the Titans of Tech Awards is a proof of itel’s incredible innovation and market recognition in the industry and reflects that itel’s development strategy is clear and correct. itel according to him will continue to bring innovative tech products suitable for the African market.

The Titans of Tech Awards popularly called Nigeria’s Tech Industry Grammy is designed to celebrate hi-tech most important movers and shakers; the pioneers, innovators and connectors. Men, women, organisation and institutions who are at the forefront of pushing technology adopting and usage in Nigeria and across Africa.

Its mission is to engender economic policy that supports Africa’s long-term digital economy growth and transformation with a vision to produce research, offer policy advice, and galvanize action for African Leaders to develop their digital agenda.

The 2022 event was chaired by Chairman, MTN Nigeria and former Executive Chairman, Nigeria Communications, Engr. Ernest Ndukwe, OFR.

Other dignitaries present at the event were the Governor of Nasarawa, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, Governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle, Edo state Commissioner for Science & Technology,  Dr. Bartholomew, President of the Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, Hon. Wahab Alawiye-King, Chairman, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Dean, Executive Chairmen, SUBEBs in Nigeria, Divisional CEO, ipNX, Segun Okuneye among others.

The 2022 Titans of Tech Awards was preceded by the Pan African Digital Initiatives Summit and Expo (PADISE) with the theme “Leveraging Right Policies & Technologies in Taming Insecurity and Cyber-Threats”. PADISE  was established as a platform where the most influential players in the African information communications technology (ICT) markets can come together to exchange ideas and to positively influence and promote ICT agenda for optimal good.
